Meet the illustrator

Susanna Billson is an Australian-trained architect and designer. She has pursued illustration as a passion since childhood. Now living in the United States, she has spent many winters in the United Arab Emirates, traveling and working on archaeological digs and engaged in contemporary design projects. She has a great love for the ruggedly beautiful landscape of the al-Hajjar mountains and Fujairah. Illustrating this book was a tremendous honor as it allowed her to work with long time friend, author Michele Ziolkowski. |
