Suhail, the boy who knew the mountains is mentioned in an academic research paper: 'Fatma's Ceramic Collection.' Published in Tribulus, Journal of the Emirates Natural History Group.
The paper, 'Fatma's Ceramic Collection,' details a selection of imported 20th century porcelain vessels, which formed part of my late mother-in-laws collection in Fujairah. In researching the porcelain material I realised that it was important to document the role she played within the community in Fujairah. Women are often written out of history, their roles almost completely forgotten. I wanted to celebrate Fatma's life and her contribution to the history of Fujairah.
